Department leaders from across the Northern Asia-Pacific Division (NSD) gathered in Bangkok, Thailand, from May 3–5 for the 2026 NSD Department Advisory Meeting. During the meeting, ministry leaders shared updates on their work, discussed future plans, and strengthened collaboration for mission throughout the division.
The meeting carried special significance because it marked the first major gathering since several countries and institutions appointed new departmental directors following the 2025 Annual Council. For many participants, the event provided their first opportunity to meet newly elected leaders in person, build relationships, and become acquainted with new ministry teams across the NSD territory.

Especially this year, unlike previous meetings, organizers held all departmental advisory meetings together in the same location and during the same period. Although each department conducted its own meetings in separate rooms, leaders gathered in the same venue throughout the event, creating more opportunities for interaction and fellowship across departments.
Throughout the meeting, each department presented reports on current ministry projects and ongoing initiatives, and outlined future plans and strategic priorities. Participants discussed ways to support local churches, strengthen mission effectiveness, and expand interdepartmental cooperation.

In addition, General Conference directors attended each department’s meetings and delivered presentations and lectures. They shared the world church’s ministry priorities and future vision while discussing how departments can respond to the changing mission environment and work together more strategically.
Several presentations also highlighted the importance of collaboration under the “One Voice 27” and “I Will Go” initiatives, emphasizing that all departments share a common mission despite serving in different ministry areas.

“Although we serve in different departments, this meeting reminded us that we are ultimately working together for one mission,” participants said. “Having all departments gathered in one place created far more opportunities for interaction and collaboration than before, and it was especially meaningful to hear directly about the ministries and vision of other departments and better understand one another’s work.”
