Women’s Ministries leaders from across the Ceylon Mission (CMS) gathered in Colombo, Sri Lanka, from July 4 to 6, 2026, for the Women’s Ministries Leadership Certification Program Level I.
The three-day training equipped participants with biblical leadership principles, practical ministry skills, and a renewed commitment to serving women in their local churches and communities.

Through the certification program, participants strengthened their leadership abilities, deepened their spiritual lives, and gained a clearer understanding of the mission, purpose, and responsibilities of Women’s Ministries. The sessions highlighted the ministry’s vital role in nurturing, empowering, and mobilizing women for service.
The program also encouraged participants to go beyond the walls of their churches and minister to all people with the love and compassion of Christ.

“Through this certification program, my desire is to see our leaders become Christ-centered, Spirit-filled, and mission-focused women who can effectively serve their local churches, mentor other women, and lead with confidence and compassion,” said Dilrukshi Gunathilake, Women’s Ministries director for the Ceylon Mission.
“I pray that Women’s Ministries will continue to grow as a vibrant force for discipleship, outreach, and spiritual renewal throughout the Ceylon Mission,” she added.

The certification program marked another important step in preparing Women’s Ministries leaders to strengthen local churches across Sri Lanka, develop future leaders, and inspire more women to actively participate in God’s mission.
The program reflected the continuing commitment of Women’s Ministries to remain “Grounded in the Bible, Focused on the Mission.”
