Ambakandawila Church, located in the Chilaw area of Sri Lanka, has renovated its sanctuary and rededicated it to God with gratitude, thanks to the warm concern and generous support of the Korean church.

On July 28, Ambakandawila Church held a meaningful rededication service following the completion of the sanctuary renovation. Local church members, volunteers from Toegyewon Church in Korea, and government officials attended the ceremony.
The renovation project began as a result of an evangelistic campaign held last January by the Women’s Ministries Department of the West Central Korean Conference, with the participation of women from Toegyewon Church. Following the campaign, Toegyewon Church decided to focus its overseas mission efforts on Ambakandawila Church. Deeply concerned about the church’s old and deteriorated sanctuary, they decided to provide full support for the renovation project.
Toegyewon Church helped move the project forward by providing the necessary construction funds at an early stage. The members of Ambakandawila Church also worked together with dedication, hoping to worship in the renovated sanctuary before the evangelistic campaign began. Because of their devoted efforts, the newly renovated sanctuary was ready for a joyful rededication service on the first day of the campaign.
The leaders and members of Ambakandawila Church expressed their gratitude, saying, “We deeply thank the members of Toegyewon Church in Korea, whose generous support and prayers made the renovation of our sanctuary possible. With this newly renovated sanctuary as our foundation, we will grow into a center of mission that shares the love of Christ with the local community.”
