On the morning of August 13, Bae Soon-kyun, Country Director of ADRA Korea, together with the principals of Wonju Sahmyook Elementary School and Daegu Sahmyook Elementary School, visited the Ceylon Mission headquarters in Negombo.
ADRA Korea’s visit to Sri Lanka was arranged to review project sites jointly supported by ADRA Korea and ADRA Sri Lanka in 2026 and to explore potential locations for new projects planned for 2027. Before visiting the project sites, the delegation met with Ceylon Mission leaders at the Mission headquarters and exchanged views on the needs of local communities in Sri Lanka and possible areas of future cooperation. In particular, they discussed opportunities for educational and welfare initiatives in areas of special interest to the Ceylon Mission, including school construction, improvement of educational facilities, and support for children’s homes.
The meeting provided a meaningful opportunity for ADRA Korea, ADRA Sri Lanka, and the Ceylon Mission to strengthen their cooperation, respond to the practical needs of local communities, and create better opportunities for children and young people to learn and grow.
